Lurking below the surface of the ocean is a world that we still know little about and Russian marine biologist and photographer Alexander Semenov is doing his best to document it with these stunning otherworldly underwater photographs of jellyfish.
At the moment Alexander is currently on a three-year-long tour around the world called the Aquatilis expedition which aims to shed light on the creatures that we rarely get to see and know little about. Photographing marine life is certainly no easy task, especially when it comes to jellyfish ? ?You can?t actually study gelata in labs or in an aquarium, because their bodies can fall apart from a single human touch?, says the team of Aquatilis.
