One art form that seems to have tragically fallen out of fashion is the crafting of porcelain dolls. The beautifully realistic bisque dolls saw their heyday in the latter half of the 19th century and were seemingly replaced by plastic Barbies by the 1960’s. Today, many consider the gorgeous porcelain dolls of old uncanny and creepy, but we actually miss them.
Luckily, the craft is not all gone. Artist couple Sergey and Anastasiya Lutsenko create beautiful dolls in styles that vary from modern to traditional and futuristic chic, all complete with gorgeous colors, bespoke clothes, and their own personality. Check out their art on their Flickr page and Instagram.

All I really care about is male porcelain dolls. I rarely see them, and none realistic. I know I’m not going to change that, but I really need a reference for male porcelain dolls for a novel. If anybody can help, I’d appreciate it!
