The face of a six year old girl making a “Wish”, is the latest of Rodriguez-Gerada’s earthworks portraits, recreated on a ploughed field in Northern Ireland. It required moving more than 4,400 tons of soil and sand with the help of satellite navigation and the work of many volunteers. The process that took 18 months and it is a part of Ulster Bank Belfast Festival at Queen’s. It has attracted widespread coverage for the events.
