12 Things You Really Need To Stop Wasting Your Time On

Someone very rightly said, ‘Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you cannot get more time.’
We have read this several times and are often told ‘time is precious.’ Yet we end up wasting it, and the sad part is we fail to realise just how we are misusing it. Take for example, those hours you’ve spent over-thinking and analysing. In retrospect, it’s just been pointless, right?
Exactly.
Take a look at 12 insignificant things we need to stop doing in order to be more productive.
1. Taking hours to finish a cup of coffee.
Coffee breaks are acceptable, but it’s a tad annoying when they extend for too long. How long does one take to finish a mug of coffee? Why do you need to keep lingering around with that paper cup? Finish the damn thing. Time is too precious to spend all that time finishing it.
2. Explaining why you didn’t turn up for a party to people who are not worth it.
Most of our day disappears in having unnecessary conversations with unnecessary people. You don’t have to explain your side of the story to everyone. Not everyone is worth it. Choose your people carefully and spend time even more cautiously.
3. Switching channels on the television, and not actually watching anything.

3. Switching channels on the television, and not actually watching anything.
People usually do this out of boredom. Move away from that couch and do something more substantial or just settle down on one channel.
4. Complaining about your job.
Complaining about deadlines, and constantly threatening to quit your job are just pointless. If you could have quit, you would’ve quit. If you’ve got problems, face them instead of whining about them.
5. Scrolling through travelogues, but failing to book tickets for your next vacation.
Stop making excuses about going on a vacation if you don’t want to spend money. You spend half of your time complaining about how desperately you need a vacation. Isn’t it a better idea to spend your time planning it?
6. Thinking about what you’ll say or do if your ex decides to patch up.
It’s imaginary! It’s not good for your health and it is not going to take you anywhere. Stop NOW!
