Stephen Wilkes unique approach to fine art photography has seen him become recognised for his work around the world, featured in a variety of high profile magazines such as Vanity Fair and Life. He’s become best known for his ongoing series titled Day and Night which captures landscapes and cityscapes all around the world as they transition from daylight, sunset and into night.
In order to create these photos Wilkes will typically shoot from a single camera in a fixed position for around 15 hours, collecting a total of 1500 images. He then selects certain frames and blends them into the end composites you see below.
